Who We Are
We are proud Ijesas, descendants of Mr. Tomori Fapohunda. This distinct heritage explains why our family members bear either Tomori or Fapohunda as their surnames today.
Ancestral Roots
We have successfully traced our history dating back to 1770, to the birth of our revered Patriarch, Sikolu, who lived an extraordinary 120 years until 1890.
The Ogboni Warrior
Our grandfather, the Ogboni Fapohunda, emerged as one of the most famous and courageous warriors of Ijesaland during the great Kiriji wars of Yorubaland.
The Dawodu
Our father is Tomori Fapohunda, the Seriki Ogboni (Dawodu or Arole), whose large family of 13 wives forms the bedrock of our modern family structure.
Our Homeland
Our ancestral village is Itagunmodi, renowned for its alluvial gold deposits. Our central family home is proudly located at Ayeso street in Ilesa.
