We must admit that producing this compendium on the history of Tomori Fapohunda family was an arduous task. The work, which started in 1984, was originally slated to be ready in two years, specifically meant for publication during the formal launching of our family progressive Union later that same year.

With an estimated strength of five thousand, it became clear during the collation stage that capturing the detailed comprehensive information uniformly across all the eight major descendant lines into a single volume was almost impossible to realistically achieve. This was primarily due to the obvious disparity in sizes among the branches.

However, the idea of preserving our heritage in a structured format never wavered. Through persistent efforts from dedicated family members, compiling narratives, retrieving the "Oriki" praise poetry, and mapping out the complex marriage structures of our ancestors, the foundation of this digital portal was born.
